Information We Collect

SpritePilot uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data to help us improve our application. This includes:

Data Processing

Nearly every tool — the converters, players, editors, sheet packing, and all exports — processes your images locally in your browser, and those files never leave your device.

The one exception is Sprite Detection’s Alpha / Background mode, which sends that image to our server for processing. The upload is used only to compute and return your results, is never shared with third parties, and is deleted automatically within 24 hours. Grid Slice mode, like every other tool, runs entirely in your browser.

Like most websites, our server records standard request metadata (such as IP addresses) in short-lived logs used for security and rate limiting.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with our application. All data is collected anonymously and no personal information is tracked. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to support the free service. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Data Storage

Application data — your working sprite session, editor autosaves, and saved maps — is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear your sprite session at any time with the "Clear session" control in the sidebar.
