Information We Collect

SpritePilot uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data to help us improve our application. This includes:

Data Processing

Nearly every tool — the converters, players, editors, sheet packing, and all exports — processes your images locally in your browser, and those files never leave your device.

The one exception is Sprite Detection’s Alpha / Background mode, which sends that image to our server for processing. The upload is used only to compute and return your results, is never shared with third parties, and is deleted automatically within 24 hours. Grid Slice mode, like every other tool, runs entirely in your browser.

Like most websites, our server records standard request metadata (such as IP addresses) in short-lived logs used for security and rate limiting.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with our application. All data is collected anonymously and no personal information is tracked. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Data Storage

Application data — your working sprite session, editor autosaves, saved maps, the settings you choose in each tool, and the last tool you used — is stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB and localStorage). This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can delete it at any time: "Start fresh" on the home page lets you choose what to clear — your sprite session, your drawing, saved maps, remembered settings and the recent-tool card — and the × on a home-page card hides it without deleting anything. The sidebar’s "Clear session" control also empties the sprite session, and each tool’s "Reset to defaults" link puts its settings back. Clearing this site’s data in your browser settings removes all of it.

So that tools you have used keep working without an internet connection, your browser also keeps a copy of SpritePilot’s own pages and program files (a service worker cache). It holds none of your images or data, and clearing this site’s data in your browser settings removes it.
